John's 30th birthday was this past week. He wasn't super excited about turning 30 but I convinced him to celebrate anyway. His parents, brother David, Jeff and I took him out to dinner the night of his birthday. It was really nice of his family to drive down from NY to spend the night with him. We went to a restaurant in Reston called Mon Ami Gabi. John really likes the steak-frites there. We had a very nice dinner and ice cream from Ben and Jerry's afterward. Then this weekend we had a get-together at our place with a bunch of friends. John had a chance to catch up with some friends he hasn't seen in awhile and had people he could actually drink adult beverages with for a change. There was some rockbanding and just a lot of chatting with friends. Here are some photos from both celebrations.
